Water Tower

Last night we climbed that water tower
three blocks from my house
sat up there, watching streetlights
until the sun came out
I told you that I loved you
I'd die for you any day
You told me that you felt
very much the same way
You caught a little firefly
that crawled across your hand
and said, "little girl, make a wish
and it shall be his comand."
And when I opened up my eyes again
And told you I was done
You released the little firefly
and we watched 'til he was gone
I stared down at the city
from against those skies
Then looked up to see it
Reflected in your eyes
And that smile that you gave me
was more than I could stand
"little girl, make a wish
and it shall be his comand."
