What's right

Her

She's got an attitude and a cigarette in her hand

And him

He's just today's use-him-and-lose-him man

Yesterday's stunt double

Thinking in a thought bubble

Tomorrow he won't even be here

Her

She's as cute as a button

And vapid as a flat beer

Who, tell me who

would want to employ

the thought of being

this girl's chew toy

he's really just a tired guy

with nothing left to lose

And who needs protection these days

When he's around to use

She

she's just oil splattering

on the silk of his soul

Her heart is empty

But her bed is full

And he

He's left to quiver 'neath her eyes

Wanting to believe all of her lies

He

He hasn't found a better way

He wasn't ever given a chance to say

And she

Is just a way to spend the night

He finds himself thinking

Who cares what's right?
